The first weekend of September is unusually busy for American tattoo culture. Events in Austin, Secaucus, Somerset and Euless bring artists, collectors and vendors together across four regional scenes, each with its own scale and emphasis.
Austin Tattoo Invitational
The Austin Tattoo Invitational runs September 4–6 at Palmer Events Center. The organizer lists more than 350 selected artists, live tattooing, art, contests and direct artist booking. Admission and tattoo appointments are separate purchases.
Meadowlands Tattoo Arts Festival
The Meadowlands stop in Secaucus is part of the Villain Arts festival circuit. Collectors should use the organizer’s current event page for artist lists, contest schedules, ticketing and walk-up information.
Somerset and Euless
Somerset Tattoo & Food Fest and Tattoos Mischief & Mayhem give collectors two more regional options. Directory listings are useful discovery tools, but attendees should verify addresses, hours, age rules and ticket links with each organizer before traveling.
