About Las Vegas Tattoo Culture

A premium editorial publication and curated ecosystem covering the Las Vegas tattoo scene ??? artists, studios, suppliers, conventions.

Las Vegas Tattoo Culture is a Las Vegas-based editorial platform covering the city’s tattoo culture ??? the resident artists, the studios that train them, the suppliers that keep the city’s needles moving, and the conventions and events that bring the scene together. It is not a directory of every tattoo shop in Vegas. It is a curated record of the studios and artists we have reviewed, verified, and listed with permission.

The platform is published from Las Vegas. The standards are set and applied by the LVTC Editorial Team. The decisions about what gets listed, what gets verified, and what earns a Featured or Founding Studio designation are editorial decisions, applied uniformly, documented on our standards page.

Why this exists

The existing options for finding tattoo work in Las Vegas are either directory sites (which list every business indiscriminately) or aggregator-style review platforms (which optimize for review volume, not editorial judgment). Neither serves the actual scene ??? the working artists, the studios doing real custom and flash work, the suppliers and conventions that move the culture forward.

We are trying to do something different: build a publication, not a directory. The argument is that taste, curation, and credibility are themselves a form of utility ??? that a small list a Vegas local would hand to a friend is worth more than a long list of every business with a tattoo machine in the building.

Who’s behind it

Las Vegas Tattoo Culture is an independent Las Vegas tattoo directory and community resource, published in-house by the LVTC Editorial Team. It is not owned by, affiliated with, or operated on behalf of any tattoo studio, artist, or supplier listed on the platform. The editorial team manages the platform’s standards, listing decisions, and image-permission tracking, applied uniformly and documented on our standards page.

This is the launch year for the platform. We are publishing standards publicly before scale, not after, because we believe a publication is worth what its standards are.

What we publish

  • Verified studio listings ??? every approved Las Vegas tattoo studio on the platform lives at /shops/. Each carries a Verified badge if its facts have been confirmed and re-confirmed.
  • Verified artist listings ??? at /artists/, with verified Instagram, portfolio, and shop affiliation where stated.
  • Curated editorial lists ??? small standing lists like /best-tattoo-shops-las-vegas/ and /walk-in-tattoo-las-vegas/. These are picked by editorial review, not by ranking algorithm.
  • Neighborhood + style hubs ??? at /neighborhoods/ and /styles/, surfacing approved listings by geography or specialty.
  • Events and conventions ??? at /events/, when verifiable details are available.

What we are not

  • A directory crawl. We choose what to include. We do not list every business with a tattoo machine.
  • A review aggregator. We do not collect or display star ratings. Listings carry editorial designations, not consumer scores.
  • A pay-to-play marketplace. Featured placement will eventually be available as a paid tier, and when it is, every paid placement will carry a Sponsored disclosure. No paid placement exists today.
  • A national tattoo blog. We cover Las Vegas. Studios outside the valley are not in scope.
  • An AI-generated content farm. Every editorial paragraph on the platform is written by a person, reviewed against the editorial standards, and dated.

How to get listed

Studios, artists, and tattoo-industry suppliers operating in Las Vegas are welcome to submit. The form lives at /join/ ??? separate paths for artists, studios, and suppliers. Submissions are reviewed manually against our inclusion criteria. Nothing is auto-published.

We acknowledge every submission within a reasonable window. We do not list low-quality operations, and we do not list businesses that haven’t given explicit consent. If your submission is not approved, we will tell you why.
